Business Analyst/Consultant
Position Summary
Document, configure and system test existing customer business processes and requirements into a Clear Technology's software solutions.
Work closely with customer, expert users, and end users, and assist project team in completing project tasks.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
·Observe and document customer processes using MSOffice, Visio and other productivity tools.
·Configure automated models of customer processes using Clear Technology's Visual Design WorkBench.
·Develop and execute test plans to ensure solution functionality meets documented specifications.
·Assist in customer end user and expert user training and knowledge transfer.
·Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels.
·Adhere to project plans, functional specifications, and schedules.
·Adhere to and support use of ClearPath implementation methodology.
·Support core values of Clear Technology and foster team cohesiveness
Required Education, Experience and Abilities
·Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in technical field (Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Computer Science);
·Minimum 2 years working for a business software vendor or consulting organization, implementing enterprise applications as a programmer/technical analyst, with responsibilities for creating customer solutions in a team environment.
·Code and test Java or .NET based extensions and integration components from specifications.
·Familiarity with structured methodologies such as Method 1, Rational Unified Process and UML.
·Industry experience in property and casualty insurance, healthcare and/or telecommunications a plus.
·Database development and management skills preferred.
·Familiarity with software design concepts.
·Knowledge of project management and productivity tools (MSOffice, Visio, etc.).
·Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
·Experience with team collaboration tools such as CVS or VSS, and wiki-based applications a plus.
·Expertise with formal programming languages such as Java, C++ and VB.NET.
·Experience working with XML and XSLT.
·Experience with open source development environments like Eclipse.
·Experience with Java runtime environments like WebSpere and JBoss.
