Database Developer

Position Summary
·Provide database development support to application development teams.
·Monitors, tunes, diagnoses, resolves problems with the databases and their performance.
·Establishes standards and procedures.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
·Provide database development support to application development teams.
·Work with Software Architects and Design Teams to develop and implement software solutions.
·Data modeling
·Develop and maintain product upgrades
·Query optimization
·Performance tuning
·Database monitoring
·Backup and restore
·Disaster recovery
·Documentation creation
·Work in an Windows environment
·Stored procedures and triggers

Required Education, Experience and Abilities
· Database design/architecture: 5+ years with SQL Server / relational and object-oriented database.

· Excellent communication skills and results oriented with a good track record working in a team environment with other highly talented software professionals.

· BA/BS degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.

· Frequent use of data modeling tool (e.g., ERWin or PowerDesigner)
· Occasionally needs to work during scheduled off-hours (e.g. holidays, weekends, and evenings) in order to meet project commitments.

· Possible travel
