In the insurance industry subrogation is a high value, high visibility part of the business as every dollar recovered goes straight to an insurer’s bottom line.
Subrogation is not predictable, it remains highly manual and time consuming. Because it is a people intensive function, many insurers believe technology could not be applied to improve this type of work.
When Norwich Union Insurance undertook a company-wide initiative to reduce administrative costs, the search was on for technology that could tackle the complexity of the subrogation process and deliver a consistent process, increased productivity, manpower savings, and a significant reduction in errors and shorter cycle times.
